Operation Safe Passage

Operation Safe Passage is an alternative to school suspensions through counseling and mentoring. The goal is to decrease crime, delinquency, and the drop-out rate.

It is a collaborative effort between the Detroit Police Department, Detroit Public Schools’ Police Department and Department of Attendance, Wayne County Sheriff, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, Michigan State Police, United States Attorney’s Office, Wayne County Prosecutors Office, Faith-based Community Partners, and the Children’s Aid Society.
